This project honored the second of two gift certificate donations I had made to a couple of silent auctions over the summer. The woman who called to redeem her certificate shared that she had recently survived a heart attack, and so had planned the theme of her 50th birthday party to be, "I survived to the age of 50!"
She requested vanilla cake with raspberry filling for her "repaired heart" shaped cake that didn't look "morbid." I actually think it turned out kinda happy looking:-)
