Waffles is a friend of mine from pastry school. And as you might have guessed, she got her nickname because she is obsessed with waffles. Don't get her started on why they are so much better than pancakes. (On the other hand, go right ahead! You're guaranteed an entertaining time of it!)
When I saw Lauren Kitchen's "Gravity Defying Cake Designs" class on Craftsy, I KNEW that I needed to have it in my arsenal for the day that Waffles asked me to make her a birthday cake. Sure enough, this was my year!
