Last week, I was approached by the Tech Museum in San Jose.
The request was 250 themed cupcakes for their midnight premier showing of the new Twilight Eclipse movie.
The task was finding a way to pull it off! Between my day job at the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and rehearsals for Rent at City Lights Theatre Company, I have been left with less than adequate time to take new clients, but I knew this was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up.
And so... with coffee in hand, an Iron Toque mindset, and a willingness to forgo sleep for several days, here are the results.
The spread.
White Cake with Vanilla Buttercream and Strawberry Filling.
Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and fondant toppers.
Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream and sparkly fondant toppers...
Which were apparently even more popular than the cake by itself!

This gentleman ask if I would take a picture with his niece, which I did. So sweet:-)
KRON 4 and KTVU 2 were there for news coverage.
Success!
And now it's time to replenish the sleep banks.
These are terrific Allison! I love how the fondant toppers sparkle, just like a good vampire. :-)
